By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. About GDAI and the Website

GDAI is a not-for-profit industry body supporting India’s game development ecosystem. The Website provides information about GDAI, its governing council, vision, events, initiatives, memberships, and policy advocacy work, and allows you to engage with GDAI through enquiries, subscriptions, membership applications, and event interest.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age, or accessing the Website under the supervision of a parent or guardian, to use the Website. By using the Website you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to provide it.

3. Use of the Website

You agree to use the Website lawfully and responsibly. In particular, you agree not to:

4. Membership

Information about GDAI membership on the Website is provided for general guidance. Submitting a membership application or expression of interest does not by itself create membership. All applications are subject to review and approval by GDAI, and membership (including any rights, benefits, fees, and obligations) is governed by the separate membership terms communicated to you upon acceptance. GDAI reserves the right to accept or decline any application at its discretion.

5. Events and Programmes

The Website provides information about GDAI events, conferences, and initiatives (including, for example, IGDC, Game Connect, Women in Games, Indie Connect, and Tapovan). Registration for, and participation in, any event or programme may be subject to separate terms, eligibility criteria, fees, and codes of conduct made available at the point of registration. Details such as dates, venues, speakers, and programming may change, and GDAI is not liable for changes outside its reasonable control.

6. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all content on the Website — including text, graphics, logos, the GDAI name and marks, event names, layouts, and design — is owned by or licensed to GDAI and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial reference. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written consent. The names and logos of GDAI partners, sponsors, and events remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Your Submissions

If you submit any content to us through the Website (for example, enquiry messages, feedback, application materials, or other information), you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party. You grant GDAI a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use such submissions for the purpose of responding to you and operating our activities. We may remove or decline to act on any submission at our discretion. Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Links and Content

The Website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, sponsors, and partners. These are provided for convenience only. GDAI does not control and is not responsible for the content, products, services, or practices of any third-party site, and the inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement. Your use of any third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that site’s own terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis for general informational purposes. While we take care to keep information accurate and current, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Website or its content. Any policy advocacy material, industry information, or commentary on the Website is provided for general awareness and does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice. You should seek independent advice before acting on any such information.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GDAI and its office bearers, council members, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage, or for any loss of data, profits, or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Website, even if advised of the possibility of such loss.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GDAI and its office bearers, council members, employees, and partners from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Website.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and process your personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Please review it carefully.

We may update these Terms and the content of the Website from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected by an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website at any time without notice.

14. Suspension of Access

We reserve the right to restrict or suspend your access to the Website, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or used the Website in a manner that may cause harm to GDAI, its members, or others.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The courts at [City], India, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
