What is Supernova?
Supernova is GDAI’s newest incubation intiative launched in 2026.
What stage of development should my startup or studio be at to apply?
Only startups at any pre-revenue stage are eligible to apply.
What kind of support will participants receive through the program?
Customised mentorship, publisher and investor access and guidance in AI integration.
Does the incubation program provide funding opportunities?
The programme does not provide direct funding. GDAI will only facilitate meetings with investors and VCs.
Will participants get access to investors and publishers?
Yes, participants will get access to select publishers and investors who are part of the program.
How are startups and studios selected for incubation?
There is an application process and shortlisted studios go through a jury round which will consist of a 30-40 minute interview with a panel of jury members.
How long does the incubation program run?
The program runs for a period of 3 months.
Is there a participation fee for the program?
There is no participation fee and it is a free, merit-based program.
Can developers from anywhere in India apply?
Yes, developers and teams from anywhere in India are eligible to apply for the program.
Are game technology, tools, and service startups eligible to apply?
The incubation program is only for studios working on original IPs.

What types of organizations can become partners?
Any organization that is interested in skilling, mentoring, investing in the video gaming industry.
Can universities and academic institutions collaborate with GDAI?
While this program is designed for game studios, GDAI welcomes collaborations with universities and educational institutions offering game development courses, who can partner on mentorship, providing masterclasses to the cohort.
Will startups have opportunities to showcase their work?
Yes. GDAI will facilitate showcase opportunities for meritorious startups at IGDC, Gamescom and GDC.
How will intellectual property (IP) ownership be handled?
GDAI will not hold ownership of any IP developed in the programme by the cohort.
Can I apply if I have participated in another accelerator or incubation program?
